Young 11 in New Caledonia
A letter from Laurent Tourette Hello Graeme and Tonia, my name is Laurent. One week ago, 5 fellows and I won (ORC) the race Nouméa (New-Caledonia) to Port-Vila (Vanuatu) approx 320 miles on Radical Concept a Young 11 property of Philippe Mazard, a famous skipper here in New Caledonia.
Astonished by the performance of this boat I searched more information about Young 11 on the web and I found your very nice website.
Like Goulven I wanted to tell you that Young 11 are still very active here in New-Caledonia. This picture was taken just after having crossed the start line.
So you have got all the fleet of Young 11's in New-caledonia: Route 66, Amberlea, Radical Concept, Legacy. Every Wednesday at sunset many sailing boat
have a race for fun in Noumea harbour, and Young 11's are often at the first places. Hope this will interest you.
